PSAT DATE: The BHS 2024 PSAT will be on Oct 30th for the first 200 that register. This is a Pre-SAT test specifically for juniors; however, if space is available, sophomores are welcome to take the test as well.  The cost is $18 which is a bargain for a practice test with scholarship implications.

ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) TEST DATE: 10/22/24 & 04/23/25. The ASVAB is a free career exploration test that assesses your reading, math skills, and aptitudes. It's ideal if you're unsure about your post-high school plans and helps prepare you for other standardized tests. Sign up in the Career Center or email me at rhodges@bethelsd.org.

ACCUPLACER TEST:  Only a few technical and community colleges still require this exam. Instead, you'll use the English and Math Directed Self-Placement (DSP), which uses a series of questions about your previous coursework to help you evaluate your skills—no test required. For those who do take the exam, it's a computerized adaptive test that measures your skills in reading, writing, and math to determine readiness for college-level courses.
